Cigarette butts thrown on the ground.
Makes me want to murder the person.

People who use the word "Actually" constantly in normal conversation. I know a guy who constantly uses this word out of context.

I don't have any pets.
And don't ask me to pet your peeve.
That's disgusting.

In the dishwasher, per consumer reports who tested this, forks and spoons up, handles down, so the food end is exposed to more water pressure and thus gets cleaner. Knives down, always, for safety.

As far as drainboard - who cares - the person putting them in there should be putting them away about 2 minutes later. If you're going to do the dishes, finish the job, damn it! Or, do what sensible Americans do: put them in the dishwasher so you don't have to dry them and put them away immediately.

FYI OP, pet peeve is what OTHER people do that bothers you. Not what you do to yourself that bothers you. Learn to shake your hands off??????????

I hate a lot of those fluff adverbs. My old boss used to say, "factually" quite often. "Factually, we need more sales this month." Drove me nuts.
