Did I miss something? Why are people whining like little babies that this sex offender/molester should be killed or rot in jail for eternity? Unless I missed something, all he is allegedly guilty of is kidnapping...

"Innocent until proven guilty" - ring a bell for anyone?

I can see your point to some extent, certainly. All 3 of my foster sisters went back to their family (the court system wouldn't prosecute at the time unless the girls would testify against their father, none would do that). The youngest went to live with her brother, so she didn't go back into the abuse. The one who lived with us the longest (4-5 years) eventually turned her father in when he molested her daughter. Sadly, the rest of the family was really upset with her for turning him in. When you're a kid, you can live in a messed up situation and think it's normal behaviour cause that's all you know, but there are influences beyond family in deciding morals (good kids go bad, bad kids straighten out). Some spark keeps them on the wrong path.

I wasn't implying that all molestation victims become offenders, just that nearly all offenders were themselves victims.

I hope your foster sisters have received treatment. Molestation victims are far far likelier to be promiscuous, to develop addictions to drugs and alcohol, to commit other crimes, and to develop sometimes severe emotional problems, including depression, bipolar disorder, and even split personality disorder. The latter is a result of the kind of strange mental compartmentalization they exhibit - it's fascinating to see it in action. One victim I have spent time with was 12 when I met her. On the one hand, she was appropriately embarrassed about talking about boys she liked at school, but on the other hand, she could talk with no discomfort about having sex with her father.
