Personal website on resume?

iamme

Lifer
the site in my sig....is that something worth mentioning in a resume? i mean, can it hurt me? nearly all of the site is open source with some html/php tweaking here and there. i'm fully aware that the site doesn't look very impressive, design wise, and i didn't hand code the thing myself. but it has become rather popular and i am getting significant traffic. keep in mind, i don't have much field experience (soon to be MIS grad). thoughts?

If you think your personal site will help with getting you a job, then put it on your resume, but I reckon if it has nothing to do with what you're applying for, leave it out. i.e., if you're a programmer, then put your personal site URI esp. if you have samples on there and such.

I would leave it out if you have nothing else. If you have a few sites, you can link your main site which has the portfolio. Remember, only pertinent things on your resume. Assume they have a lot to sift through.
