Since I broke up with my gf a while ago some of you may remember I was lacking a pair of essentials organs. Lately I've been thinking a alot about how I've been living my life. I think of myself as smart, capable of damn near anything. In fact better than most others who may or may not be engineers or the like. Yet, I lack the drive and motivation of some less talented individuals. Any suggestions on retaining that self worth and confidence but taking off the edge of arrogance and conceit? How can I improve my time management and actually apply myself? Anyone feel similar or have dealt with similar things. I think that solving this could be huge for how I live my life.

I know my slacker ways need to change, but I need some catalyst because of my slacker ways. Its a vicious cycle...that being said any ladies want to offer me bewbies as an incentive? :)

stop pleasuring yourself. Your testosterone levels will rebound in about 3 weeks and you will begin to feel/behave more manly.

There is nothing unmanly about wanting to become a more capable and productive person. I would think if the entire population of anandtech did the same, we could produce a new formidable country!

If you believe in destiny, then it gets easier because you realize that no matter how lazy and worthless you are ... you will still end up in the same place. Great huh?

I'll give an answer, only you can motivate yourself. Success is probably 60 percent ambition 25 percent intelligence 5 percent luck. If you want it bad enough like you said you can achieve it. Maybe Tony Robbins can help? After all that is his specialty!

i don't mean to offend or insult, but therapy may be an answer -- just a few sessions -- for you to grasp what you need to do and get your mind set on it.
