Cool stuff. I remember reading about a personal helicopter system that was intended for busy CEOs and executives that need to get to and from work on manhattan quickly - literally flying between the buildings. It looked a lot more sci fi and was powered by a gas engine driving two large fans, and the target price was 500 000. It obviously failed since I haven't heard anything about people flying around on manhattan yet. I think this idea is definitely more promising.
