I basically was calling her out on being an attention wh*re and braggart because she made a post filled with a bunch of stuff about how she got so many things for free. I think I also told her to blog elsewhere. Others said much the same thing. Geekbabe insisted she was "just sharing her hobby" which was BS and I decided to call her out on it because I had seen the same thing from her before being a braggart about it and it was getting old. It was only after a lot of calling out which she even ATTEMPTED to share about her hobby - and then only posted very basic...stuff like "ZOMG go to fatwallet!!!!".

If I can find the thread, I'll certainly post it for you.

Explain why I have seen so many threads which had similar responses to people's posts turn up as "ownage of the year nominees" and everyone gets in on them and nobody seems to care about the OP then, but only when a mod is the OP does something all of sudden change from "having some fun at the expense of an OP" to the OP being "harassed by a troll".

When a member, any member, asks us to intervene when they are being harassed we do. If they don't we figure they don't mind and are looking to mix it up.

And if I was harassing the OP - why is it okay for Perknose to come into my thread and harass me? It's just more of the double standard. Thanks for illustrating my point.

He wasn't harassing you, he was commenting that your rant was trivial which any reasonable person could see that it was. Come on, complaining that people say the 4th of July instead of Independence day?:roll:

BTW you would of had a valid complaint against RichUK and I would have told him to back off if you had requested.

I learned what I could and couldn't do, and I stopped trying to ride so close to the edge.

With the way your acting right now, I would ban you for a month, so these moderators are much more patient than I. Grow up a little bit.

Even if she was she was also a member and posting as such and instead of abusing her authority she went through the proper channels when it comes to dealing with trolls who were harassing her.

So then you posted a thread titled "Are you a fan of censorship?" which was locked and mod noted "case closed". But, no, not enough for you. You then posted a threa titled "Integrity... " in which you said "Do you think integrity is important for those in power?" which got you a week off, and the mod noted it in the thread.

Based on the information that you provided;your post on her was in mid March.
She was no longer a Mod, you just followed through on what you assumed.

Other Moderators, when they have left, lose their Moderator title.

Wrong, again assigning something to me which isn't true.

I was not holding her past against her. She was either a mod at that time, or someone forgot to remove her title that showed her as such. But either way IT DID SAY moderator on her account.

I could care less if she is or was or may be a mod - that's nothing to hold against anyone. Please refrain from making incorrect assumptions. Thanks.

Still - when asked about why I was banned I would receive nothing. Those are probably the ones that weren't even logged.

Oh and yeah I don't think you really know what's gone on - you came around later right? I'm fairly certain the whole truth has been hidden and removed long ago.

Anyway...I think what we need is some form of letting people know you're thin skinned or something.

If it's okay to take a few friendly jabs at someone who doesn't have an issue with the fact that this is the internet and not everything should be taken serious and as a personal insult to ones lineage, then we need some way to identify the people who cannot take a few sarcastic barbs.

Maybe they should have to put in their post - "I'm thin skinned and I cannot take a joke" - that way we wouldn't have to guess at it. We could just not post in their threads, and instead make a jab at someone else who can handle it without flying off the handle.

Only one link doesn't work and I fixed it and I don't have access to anything special to allow me to view links you can't, at least not that I know of.

The fact that I can find all those things when I wasn't a mod then means that you could have as well. None of those threads have been changed or edited since the times they were posted. No one has hidden anything or removed anything in them since then. The mod notes are there and have been there for years.

I think this highlights one of our major disconnects. The standards of this board dictate that you do not insult other members. You need to align your standards of communication with the standards of the board.

The fact that you do not believe these are fairly applied is a legitimate issue and you are welcome to express that. But whether you are correct on that point or not, you will still be expected to tone back the insulting or aggressive posts. Until you internalize that issue, you will continue to have problems.
