whats the point in gaming at such a high res when the textures aren't designed for it?

the video looks no different than any other video.
 
I suppose I'll never understand Youtube videos of Ultra Ultra Quad Atomic High Def gaming. Still looks like ass.

Unless you constantly stare at an unmoving wall right in front of you (i.e. a desktop picture), the texture resolution is largely irrelevant. The principles of rasterization still hold.

It's a lot like people not noticing AA. But game on such a setup for a few months and then try going back to 1080p.
 
Seems OP deleted his yt account and quit posting after we were left unimpressed.

Hopefully he didn't do anything too drastic, it's only video games.
 
Huh, I actually was impressed. Not so much at the quality of the video since I'm still viewing it on a 1080P Youtube video, but just that he could do it.
