PerProxy Log File Cleaner

Anyone know of a log file "cleaner/compressor" available for the proxy logs like Polo has for the dnet client log?

Thanks! 😀

Yeah, go into your log folder, select the first one you want to clean, and then hit the shift key, and arrow it down to the last log you want to clean, and hit the Del key. :Q

Dasm it's easy.

Yo Kilowatt, any chance of Xircom PMCIA support in the next release of Klinux? Would be kinda nice if I could run one of my laptop's through it, that is a little more lacking in power and could do without Windows sat ontop of it?...

Gee Ape,

Since the Linux kernel 2.4 came out, and Dnet released the 8012 build client, I've pretty much scarped 80% of what I had started for Klinux-v.3.

I'm getting DSL into my office soon, and would like to use my Linux box as a webserver for Klinux.
I'd also like to set it up to let people build their own custom Klinux off my box.

Something along the lines of what flamingtext.com has done.
There you can make all kinds of Banners, buttons....etc in Gimp, off of their server, by filling out simple config boxes/forms.

It's a pretty cool idea.

Well Adul, don't hold your breath for very long. :Q
I only have spare time to devote to this project.
My Paying Customers have to come first.

With my move to a new storefront in a bigger town, the first week of Jan, I've gotten pretty busy with new accounts. 🙂

PS. Klinux is spelled with a Capitol K. 😉

BPhantom has one that I use (works GREAT!), but I'll be darned if I can remember off the top of my head where he has it stored...

If he doesn't pop up around here soon, let me know and I can send you a copy. Requires PERL, though...

Kilowatt,
<Yeah, go into your log folder, select the first one you want to clean, and then hit the shift key, and arrow it down to the last log you want to clean, and hit the Del key>
😛😛😛 Dasm smarta$$ answer 😉, I was needing to SAVE the logs, not just delete them, duh! 😛😛😛

😉

I'll check with Mika and also will check out the other proggy. Thanks! 😀

Dasm it Ray!! You didn't say you wanted to save them, you said you wanted to clean them, as in clean them out. 😕

/me thinks Ray must have DIRTY logs :Q

😀

Dasm it Kilowatt! (just wanted to say that 😉) Do you have to be so literal? 😉😉

I guess deleting them would accomplish 100% compression. :Q

Hey Ray, you can try out my perl log compressor (handles RC5 and OGR). It can be found at: Log Compressor. This is a newer version, which has been running on Mika's and all of my pproxies for the past few months. When you execute it, try ./logcomp.pl -h for some commandline options. If you have any questions/problems, feel free to contact me.

Brad..
