Permissions to network share don't work

Someone at our datacenter is trying to grant me permissions to write to a network share in the datacenter environment. The domain there is different from the domain in my office, but there is trust set up. I can't create files, or modify existing files on this network share, always get permissions errors. But when i look at the permissions of the share, i see myself as having full control, and all the other permissions enabled. "Effective Permissions" under the advanced tab also show that I should have permissions for everything read/write/create/full control/take ownership etc.

Other people in my office have permissions to read and write to this same share so I'm not sure why this is happening with my account. I'm VPN'ed in from home and doing this from a remote desktop session on my work PC if it matters. I've rebooted my work PC twice so far.

Can anyone help? I need this working today.

You checked the share permission, how about the file system permissions?

I asked the IT guy to check that, can't check it myself. Is that necessary for me to write to the share?
