Have a Windows Home Server 2011 machine that's been running for years. Suddenly I have a problem...
One shared folder on the server is giving me permission errors. This is the Videos folder which is loaded with multi-TB of data.
For some reason, all the users except for Administrators no longer have "full control" allowed, so I can't create/delete/etc on the shared folder. Only the "administrators" group has the full control checked when I look at the permission, but I can't change it. I'm RDP connected to the server, connected as Administrator, and when I try to change my main personal account to have "full control" it gives me an access denied error.
Other shared folders on the server have the permissions still correctly set.
I've also tried changed my user permissions via the WHS Dashboard, and it says it did it, but nothing actually changed.
When logged into the server as the Administrator account, I can't edit/delete/etc on the Video folder either. I did check, and the server DOES say Administrator is part of the Administrators group. So not sure why I'm getting access denied errors as Admin.
Ideas? The only changes recently that I can think of are I got a new router and we had a power outage the other day - I wasn't home, so I don't know how the server shut down. It is on a UPS, but don't know what happened when the power went out since the server was off when I got home.
