Peripheral Happy--Will it Work?

I currently have a Asus P4T533-C motherboard, and a 330W PSU, with the following add-ons:

Highpoint RAID IDE Controller card (2 120GB WDs attached)
Pioneer DVD-ROM Drive
Lite-on CD-RW Drive
Floppy disk drive

I am contemplating adding the following components, and I'm wondering (a) if it's possible to get them all connected (assume I have the space in the case) and (b) if so, how?

Sony combo DVD-RW/+RW drive
200GB WD hard drive (for back-up purposes)
ZIP drive

Please note the following: 1. I would prefer to keep all 3 media drives---I like having a faster DVD player and faster CD burner. 2. The ZIP drive is the least important---I can live without it. However, I've got it from my old computer, and I've got an extra bay for it.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Hook both you HD's to the RAID running independently and the Optical Recorders on the Master IDE's with the Pioneer and Zip as Slave then you should be in...I run 3 Opticals on mine with WD SE as my Master IDE HD followed by the High Point set-up in RAID...alls good

Edit= I do not know if the Highpoint CC will allow seperate IDE HD devices but my onboard will

Sorry if I am displaying my ignorance, but what exactly do you mean by "Hook both your HD's to the RAID running independently"? Do you mean, if possible, that I should leave the 2 120GBs as masters on the 2 RAID channels and add the 200GB as a slave on one of the RAID channels (but not add the latter to the array)?

I have a sneaking suspicion that the Highpoint won't allow me to do that.

If I can't do it, should I forget the Zip and put the 200GB in its place?

Seperate means no Hd's Arrayed (mine does 2 on-board) ...If your card won't do more then 2 seperates then my thoughts for solutions are (you must give up RAId0 array:

Config 1:
JBOD (Just Bunch Of Disks) on Highpoint card...All the WD IDE's= 440gigs
Optical Drives and Zip on IDE's

Killing the RAID array is low on my wish list. Do you see a problem with my last proposal (omitting the Zip and putting the 3rd HD on one of the motherboard IDE channels)?

Not @ all and that would be my personal choice as you can always add the Zip later via USB if wanted...Hence (similar to my set-up)

Primary IDE =200GB WD HD (Master) followed by Pioneer DVD
2ndary=Writers (Most frequently use 1 would be Master) so you can copy anything off the HD and/or Optical on the fly
