Hi all,

Here's my setup:
AMD Athlon-C 1500 (143x10.5)
512Mb PC-133
Asus A7V133 Rev. 1.04
Geforce4 Ti4200 (300/600)
SBLive! Value
3Com 10/100M NIC
Pioneer DVD
LiteOn CD-R/W
Maxtor 60Gb
WDC 120Gb SE
480W Pow-Max ATX

Lately while playing games (NFS6, UT2K3) I'm getting periodical slow-downs. The computer would slow-down for a 25seconds, and then continue to work again. I've checked the temp. (CPU ~50C, MB ~28C) and everything else looks normal.

Oh yeah, running with WinXP-Pro SP1 with Det40.72.

Any help is appreciated.

What other applications do you leave running while you game? Check your task manager, if anything is being a memory hog be sure to stop it before you start playing.
