Periodic service interruptions while using wireless router

Excluding the possibility that SBC's DSL service just really sucks, what could explain my DSL going down every hour? I'd say on average it happens 1-3 times per hour, each time lasting for a 1-5 minutes. I'm using a Dell wireless router. Could it be the fault of the router, or is this something that just happens with wireless internet in general (from interference)? Or could it be the fault of the telephone wiring in my house (house is about 20 years old)?

Exact same thing happens to me, ive told them about it and they say they will "check it out" and nothing has change. Sbc just sucks is what im starting to conclude.

They are being sued for this, didnt you get one of those things in the mail that says you can get 2 free months of service? As for getting out of the contract i really dont know.
