Of course not. It's just stupid they missed this.

If I were in the ad department, there's no way in hell I'd let that thru. Just the fact that I noticed it means that other people will too. The config is even the same as the Nazi symbol, with the arms in the same direction, and the orientation as a diamond shape.

The least they could do is reverse it, or put a different number of arms on it or something.

Yeah, that is pretty bad. Try just focusing on the black parts of the controllers and it's even more clear.

Seriously, who the fvck cares? The swastika was long running symbol used by the Nazi's to represent whatever the hell they used it for. OMG, Microsoft hates the Jews, oh noeeees! :roll: It was an obvious attempt at making a cool looking picture.

Like I said, nobody is saying it in any way suggests Microsoft is condoning the swastika. It would be stupid to suggest that in fact IMO. It was just an honest mistake.

I'm just saying that it's incredibly stupid honest mistake that they missed something as obvious as this. They're going to get complaints about it, for sure, even if it's not going to be from me.

The mere fact that this comes up should cause worry to the marketers... subliminal can have affects also. This is one of those things that would appear on a show named "what were they thinking ?"

Ahh I see your point. To be honest, I saw the picture, but I didn't notice the resemblance until this thread. It's just a controller layout, that's all (to me anyway) :)

It's probably just made to look like the controllers are in a 360 degree ritation (a circle).

I don't see how it's a mistake at all. If you want to read too much into something, I'm sure you could come up with something like this in just about anything. People are just seeing what they want to see, not what is meant to be seen.
