Pergo Flooring under Refridgerator?

I am going to lay Pergo floor in our kitchen and I'm wondering what I should use to get the fridge and stove back into the kitchen. I can't just push it over the floor, else it will scratch. Do you think a sheet of plywood under each of them when I drag them would work?

Anyone else do this?

Pergo doesn't scratch. That's the whole point of pergo. But you can use cardboard or anything to cover the floor.

Jzero,
Actually it does scratch, just not easily. I'm sure raking a fridge across it would be a good way to do it.

Millenium,
That is a great Idea. I'll have to see if I can rent one at home depot.

Thanks guys!

Pergo is supposed to be tougher than regular wood. However, the smart thing to do would be to roll it on top of sheets of carboard (such as the cardboard boxes the pergo came in) laid on the floor.

If not there you can rent them at Uhaul or other moving places. Good luck.

Word. As this is what I do daily, I can tell you it's the only way!

If you can put down a thin sheet of masonite or something similar in front of where the appliances go, then dolly them onto that, then push them back off of the sheet into position, you'll be fine.
