Curious how Thuban CPUs compare with 45nm C2Q, and Vishera. Yes, I realize that SB/IB are tops, but they are expensive, and would require a whole new mobo + CPU. I'm trying to re-use what I have. C2Q Q9300 @ 3.0, stock voltage. Thuban 1045T @ 3.51, stock voltage. Vishera 8320 @ 4.0? stock voltage. How would these stack up? You would be going from four threads to six threads to eight threads. If power consumption doesn't go up linearly with thread count, then perhaps it would be worthwhile investing in a more-core platform.
