i will be transferring my entire system (sig) into that case until i get a new system. i ordered it just now at performance-pcs.com and got their custom top drilled "blowholes" for a 120mm fan. how do you guys think i will like it compared to a thermaltake v500D blue case? will mounting the motherboard into the case be complicated as it was in my thermaltake case? thanks for the input in advanced guys. oh i also got an aerocool xtreme turbine 120mm fan.. any info on those?

Knowing how much you will like this case is hard to say, because it is such a relative and personal thing. At least to me it is. Never messed with those fans, but trust me, do the research before you pick your fans. I've got a lot of left over fans due to this fact.

Don't forget to post pics, and give us a review. Let us know how the installation was compared to the old case, etc. :)

What case are you talking about. I see no name or link of any kind.
All i say is that performance-pc's is a excellent retailer. I've orderd several times from them and have had no probs. Their workmanship is top-notch.

thanks a lot guys, they have just sent me the tracking number, i'll be getting my lian-li pv-v1000B plus with an aerocool xtreme turbine 120mm fan drilled into a top 120mm blowhole on monday. total came out to $251 shipped. prob paid a little extra but its ok for the blowhole i guess. i'll be putting everything from my sig into that case. i also kinda want to add in some cold cathodes to light up the mesh holes in the case, any recommendations? i wil def post pics and a review of the case when i get it!

they sent me a broken fan which i fixed and of the 2 cables i ordered they screwed one up. instead of sending me the right cable they offered to send me one- "free with my next order" If you screw something up it's your responsibility to make it right. I don't think i should have to make another order from them to get the part i ordered so i'll not be doing business with them again.

Put a CD on top of a case and you'll see exactly how big the hole is going to be.

Yes you'll need a fan guard if that's not included with their mod price. Personally I stick with the el cheapo wire grills, but if you're looking at it all the time you might want to get a blinging guard. Call them up, if it hasn't shipped yet see if they'll just throw in a wire guard.

Make sure you undervolt that fan, since it's on the top of your case you're really going to hear it at 12v.

Yes, you will need a grill. Lest your cat gets curious and slides her paw into it and *RIP*. Heh, JP

I got almost the same combo....A V1000B Plus with a blowhole, except with a Silverstone FM121 fan. Their work is outstanding. They mounted the fan and grill free of charge.

update: got my fan, grill, and lian li v1000b plus from performace-pcs.com. took alittle while longer since i had to rma the fan but then he mailed me back a fan grill free of charge, the silver anubis =] thanks guys
my aerocool xtreme turbine 120mm fan, which is pretty loud but a fan controller should fix that
the custom blowhole on top is beautiful but now that i have 4 120mm fans with 3 pin connectors i bought a zalman 5.25 ZM-MFC1 from newegg for $30 to power and control all 4 fans and 2 small led's i got from svc.com which took a while to deliver. so yea i'm still waiting on the fan controller, i've read some pretty decent reviews on it.

installation of mb and all other components were pretty simple, 5.25 bays were probably toughest to install. i'll post up pics as soon as possible, waiting on a zalman 5.25 fan and light controller and hook up my 2 led's to them
