Performance Laptop, Not for Gaming

I might be moving to Silicon Valley area in the coming weeks and think it's now time to upgrade my laptop so if I decided to use local shuttle to work, I can work on my laptop.

I'm looking for a performance laptop with the following requirements

1. Dual Core (Developing on Windows Primary, and rely on VMWare for testing other platforms)
2. High resolution for multi-tasking between many apps (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Firefox)
3. Sharp display for Photoshop

I tend on using the following apps minimum at once on average (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, SQLYog, Outlook, Secure CRT, VMWare, Firefox, MySQL, Apache)

Any ideas on other brands/models I should be looking at for this line of work?

How big of a screen are you looking for? What's your budget?

Offhand, I'd say you should take a look at the Lenovo T60.
