Performance is lacking....

I just upgraded to an Athlon 64 3200, Asus K8V, 1 gig DDR, and ATI 9800XT, and yet I still get my a** handed to me on a plate whenever I play Halo or UT2004 demo online. Do you think I should look at the Athlon FX processors, or do you think my gaming might improve with just a little overclocking? Thanks.

I play the UT2k4 demo on a laptop with a 1.6 GHz Pentium M, 512 Ram, and a Radeon mobility 9600 series, and it runs very smooth.

You could have a cluster with 80 2.2 Ghz Opteron processors, 20 TB of RAM, and 65 9800XT's somehow working together and a direct connection to an internet backbone and you wouldn't be any better at the game. Hardware doesn't = skill.

I want to start a computer selling business with the catch phrase "Our computers are so fast you won't suck at gaming anymore!"

Or... "Our computers are so fast you'll be dead before you know it!" 😀

I was ready to post all the email addresses for my hook ups on viagra. I pick up 2 or 3 new contacts daily.

hardware != skills

Hey guys, I was joking. Yes, I did upgrade; my system and broadband connection kick ass. Unfortunately, same is not true for me. They got a school I could go to?
