Hi,
I am considering upgrading from my current setup P2-450 with Geforce 2 GTS vid card to either a duron or tbird setup@ 800+ mhz(since most sites and people claim that durons can easily get to that and higher, with an fop38 or Alpha). Will I see a substantial increase in performance from my current setup to the duron @ 800 or tbird @800 setup? I am a gamer by the way and play Quake 3, plus I want to be able to play the new games like Sacrifice, TF2, Tribes2 and Alice(the McGee version you know "twisted" with most if not all graphic options on, at pretty high fps. Also, which speed duron/tbird should I get for optimal O/C results? Also, I see that the FOP38 beats an ALPHA 6035 most of the time when sites review the two coolers, but what I do notice is that they review the ALPHA without the Delta Fan. I was wondering which socket a HSF performs better if both were compared, utilizing a Delta Fan? (not the lower profile fan that comes stock with Alpha 6035)
