Performance for a dual Tualatin setup

512 cache, 1.4ghz or 1.26ghz. Still haven't picked a motherboard ( no clue )

but I was wondering how many WUs a day would it do..

thanks

This is just a guess but I would say you would be looking at 9-12WU/day. Well that is a pretty broad guess but the best I can do.😱

Tualatins are one of the best CPU's. Go look at the Ars Technica Team Lamb Chop (i think thats the SETI one) website. A Tualatin@166 FSB has an IPC similar to that of an Athlon XP's clockspeed (not PR). So its very nice performance per CPU. Try and get a DDR motherboard because a single channel SDR will saturate a dual tualatin setup.

Some guy has an overclocked Tualatin at 1425 512KB L2 cache on an Asus TUSL2C SETI client 3.03 and getting 3 hours 40min.

Or should I go with a 2.53ghz or higher clocked PIV ?

The parts will not be bought until Dec-or Jan... ( hopefully nv30 will be out ).... and new PC will be only used for Seti ...
