While my 9600GSO was using the 177.92 drivers, @ 700/1000/1750, in 3DMark06, I got 4518 for SM2, and 4343 for SM3.
With the 178.13 drivers, @ 721/1053/1806, I now get 3932 for SM2 and 4227 for SM3. So, that's quite the decline in performance.
Is it because I didn't uninstall the 177.92 drivers before installing the 178.13 drivers? What should I do?
UPDATE: Never mind. I tried again after not running Steam (which was dl'ing Crysis at 550k) and I got 4437 for SM2 and 4492 for SM3. Still though, SM2 score dropped a bit...but SM3 score went up almost 150 points though.
