I would like to get some inputs on the performance comparison between 6800 vs 6800GT vs 6800 Ultra.

I dont have money to invest in 7800s right now - infact 6800 Ultra is also out of my range.

But in any case I would like to get some help deciding. Also, should I consider ATI video cards if I am looking to save money?

Any inputs appreciated.

x800XL is a good buy. (hint hint, you can get a used one at fs/ft forums for 180 bucks/190 bucks shipped)
 
Why not look on both card producers? ATi 'n' n[/b]vidia ?

6800Ultra > 6800GT > 6800

the 6800 is alright but it is not worth it if you can afford the 6800GT, since it is the best high med range card right now. Even the ATi's x800GT02 (squared version) or X800XL is a good choice for you also, since they are comparable to the 6800GT.


 
if the 6800U is out of your range then I dont recomend that.
If the 6800gt is affordable for you then I would definatly get one, I sure do miss mine.
The ATI cards are good too, Id look around for a x800xl or a used x800xt and if you can find one and your not afraid or mods then the x800GTO2 is worth a look aswell but first try to find a good 6800GT deal.
