Performace issues with new vid card

I just got a new eVGA GeForce 6800 GT and put it in my system (Asus P4PE w/ 1 gig of ram and Intel P4 3.06 HT cpu). I'm only getting 5 fps consistently in Far Cry, which must be an issue. I emailed eVGA, and they said there was an IRQ conflict. I checked in device manager and it showed that the AGP slot shares it's IRQ with one of the USB buses. There doesn't appear to be any way to change this, nor does disabling the USB bus make any difference in frame rates. Has anyone had a similar issue with this motherboard or knwo of a way to fix it? I have a call in to ASUS to see if there's some way to switch the IRQ's around, but haven't heard back and thought I'd try here. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Mike

Ok, three things:

1) never post your email address in unobscured form like that, you're gonna get Spammed to heck when the email-harvester bots find it 😛

2) you're right, the P4PE is built like that. Do you have your Intel INF's installed? If not, go here, get them, and get them installed.

3) your signature's link is teh busted. Try this: http://www.anandtech.com/mysystemrig.aspx?rigid=10544 😀

hmm, suggest you look elsewhere for your problem as usb & videocard shares irq without issues on those asus boards.
did you fully uninstall your old drivers before installing your new card?
