PerfNet error in Event Viewer

I started getting PerfNet errors in Event Viewer/Applications about 2 months ago. I don't know what triggers it. I see it after startup and at times during the day. I contacted MSFT and they want me to startup in Safe Mode and see if it occurs. If not, they want me to clean boot and see if it occurs. They then want Event logs and System info. I am going to try these diagnostics but wanted to check here first. Anyone have this issue and knows how to solve it? Thanks.
