So its midnight and most restaurants are closed. But I am starving. So I want to make the perfect homemade sandwich. I have a few materials... lettuce, those small tomatoes you put on salads, sliced ham and turkey, as well as mayonnaise and mustard. My bread of choice is whole wheat bread. I also have a raw onion but I have no idea how to prepare it. Do I just slice the onion or do I have to fry it on a skillet or something?

Please post your perfect sandwich recipes!

Sorry, you have no bacon, therefore no perfect sandwich.

Do you have Grey Poupon? That's the only mustard for a sandwich imo. (Well dijon, but nothing says dijon like Grey Poupon! ;) )

Just chuck everything on dagwood style and go to town. It's hard to screw up a sandwich.

you got everything you need, id prefer spicy mustard or something but this'll do.

prepare everything before hand as in wash the lettuce leaves, slice the tomatoes if necessary. i wouldnt cook the onions, thinly slice the onion

lightly toast the sandwich (you can put the cheese on right away if you like it all melty)

put mayo/mustard on one side only, cheese on the same side

lettuce other stuff on top and the turkey last

cover it

slice DIAGONALLY

enjoy with a refreshing beverage and preferably jalapeno kettle cooked chips

Combine all your ingredients in a blender except the bread. Blend until course, its ham/turkey mustard salad. Spread on the bread and cut with some of those scizzors that make zig-zags.

Heres an update with pics!
I decided to go with some toasted italian bread. I found some of this spicy honey mustard stuff in the fridge which I added. The rest is what I listed above. All in all, it was a great sandwich. I may go to the grocery store tomorrow and pick up some more material, like pepperoni and some bacon.

(Pics taken with phone. Sorry:p)

Sandwich
I require more minerals.

I have two fav sandwhiches

1. Bruchetta sandwhich
Get hoagie rolls, or any kind of bread roll, genoa alpine salami, brown sugar ham, meunster, tomato, oregano, garlic, italian seasoning, vinegar, and olive oil
Toasted to perfection :)

2. Turkey salad sandwhich
Thousand island, cucumber, tomato, avocado, provolone cheese, thin sliced oven roasted turkey,
