are you joking? I can't tell because you're european, but whether you're overclocking or not, if you're just reading the news, any differences from one machine to the next will be absolutely unapparent.

if your thread title was a typo, and you meant to say "perfect new computer," then i prefer the bottom one. you'll have a much easier time overclocking the bottom machine. Where are you getting these prices from?

not much motherboard selection at those places. i prefer the bottom system overall. gigabyte has great support, but that motherboard only has 4 DIMM slots so be aware of that when you're installing your triple-channel kit. your only other option at that price range is the ASUS P6T SE, which has poor QC and even worse customer support. let us know when the build is finished and we'll see about getting 4 ghz.

it will probably get to 4 GHz, but at a considerably higher voltage and more heat output, theoretically compromising the reliability of the chip over 3+ years.

the bottom machine has more memory, a better motherboard, a better chip, a bigger hard drive, a better power supply, and costs less than the top machine. 920+X58 is a mature platform with a solid reputation. P55 is brand new and has already made bad impressions with overclockers with the few missteps that arose with lynnfield's PCIe host. the lynnfield turbo is fine if you are a child or chimpanzee, but overclockers don't need any help getting the frequencies they want. the 920+X58 is the better platform and I see it is also the best-equipped system at the best price.

you can't beat the noctua for the price. large tower + two great fans + noctua TIM.

The prolimatech megahalems and TRUE perform so closely together that it makes sense to go for the cheaper noctua. you only save 3 euro by getting the prolimatech, yet you still have a ~10 euro fan you have to buy for it and ~$6 euro TIM compound. the noctua gives you two fans, not one. and they will outperform TRUE or prolimatech with a single fan for more money.
