I put together this rig:

amd x2 4400
asus A8N-E
evga 7800 gtx 512
raptor 150
seagate 200gb
Soundblaster XFI
Seasonic s12 430W PSU (is it enough)?

I'm lookin for the smallest case I can get, light and quite, very good quality (don't mind the price). I'm totaly lost. Please help.

Well, the A8N-E mboo rules out a mATX case. I used a Centurion 5 for my wife's machine, and it's alright. And I'd advise getting a 500w Seasonic. SLI connector for the video card would help (430w doesn't have it). No sense in spending that much on parts, and getting the smaller version of the PSU...

Get a Seasonic S12 500w or an Enermax Liberty 500w. IMHO, I think 430w is not enough.

As for case...

Antec P180
Antec P150
Antec SLK3000B
Cooler Master Centurion 5 (or 530)

antec super lanboy is light(aluminum), small(still full ATX capable though), and reasonably priced, plus the case is targeted for gamers. s12-430 is MORE than enough, people gotta stop thinking 500w is needed for every system like this, even with a GTX 512.

ahh..I looked at all those cases and I'm so in love with my old small shuttle that it's so hard to pick soemthing bigger. Lanboy is ugly, Antec P150 is nice but I want seasonic psu plus I don't like white front and it's quite heavy. P180 huge. I also doesn't liek centurion.
Maybe I should go with Asus mATX mainboard (but how is is compared to full size one A8N-E in performance) and buy soem mATX case? Ah! :(

Go with a way better PSU. And I've had a Super Lanboy, it's sweet. very light and looks good, but to small for me. Got a kickass deal on a Thermaltake Xaser III for $60 though.... and It is built like a TANK, Even though it weighs a ton It'll last me the rest of my God given life...7fans,very secure,4fan control, temp gauge COMPLETELY tool-less for all drives and card slots and it runs cool as hell

I wasn't going to reply, but I can't help it. I was thinking about how it isn't necessary for a 500 watt PSU. And it very well might be true, that 430 is enough. But the OP doesn't need a Raptor 150, nor does he need a X2 400 with the 7800 GTX 512. But while he is going all out, why not do the same for the PSU. He is spending tremendous amounts of money on very good parts--why not for the PSU? And it certainly won't hurt anything by getting a 500 or 600 watt PSU.

After having power problems on my system, I can't stress enough how important it is to have plenty of power... Just a thought... And I didn't mean to flame ya. Just explaining my point of view. :)

well, i dont like the really tiny boxes..i think they look like a girls purse or something being carreid to lan party >.> lol but its hard to pick up mount everest <.< its all up to you...i love steak u might be a vegan...

just my 2 cents.

if you dont mind spending the money i think that LianLi looks awesome. and its durable and light according to reviewers.
no mounting rails throws some people off..but i dont mind that...so i spend 3 minutes more installing drives >.>
323 voters and a perfect 5 egg rating...is pretty good eitherway.
goodluck

holy **** didnt know you had almost 5000 posts. I just thought it was another one of the newbs buying $40 500w PSU's thinking it's better to just to have more wattage. Thinking even a mid-range rig w/a 6800gs would require over 400watts is the usual theory of the average consumer(i think at least i thought so in the beginning). Speaking of which, I see many people buy ex. truepower 430's when they want to save as much money as they can, and a 300watt would have served them fine. Sorry about the misunderstanding. Looks like he can afford some extra power, and future use of the PSU would be great for him, great idea.

The forton source 450 is the best powersupply under for the money 50 bucks. It should be good enough for your system. Next setup up I would look into a seasonic or ocz powerstream.

i personally like the super lanboy. i have one with an a8n-sli premium. it's just the right size. i have 2 optical drives & 4 sata hdd's in there.

just get a good quiet psu. i'm in favor of the antec tpII 550w w/ single 120mm fan.

I own a Seasonic S12-500, so I'm a little biased, but to be honest, from my experience and from most PSU threads and reviews, the S12-500 & 600 are definately top of the line in terms of PSU's these days. Nearly silent, rock solid, efficient and a good combination with sleek cases like lian li's and cooler master praetorians. Sleeving the cables always helps.

Besides some compatibility issues with some DFI boards, I've only heard good things about Seasonics. :D

do you already have the 7800gtx or are ordering it? If you're ordering it get the X1900XTX/7900GTX whichever you prefer
