how is this a marketing gimmick? I cook frozen chicken all the time.
...and taste just as good.
But they taste just as good as frozen and then thawed chicken, which is what we're talking about. The rest of your post is spot on, but this is simply just not true. While I've eaten the hell out of some frozen chicken breasts, they're nowhere near as good as fresh.

That's what I buy from Costco.
Boneless skinless 1) chicken breast frozen hard as a rock in a huge bag.
2) It's great, they cut every single bit of fat off of it also, which I love cause I was before this stuff buying 3) fresh chicken breast, trimming every bit of fat off then sealing them with a food saver and 4) freezing them.
5) This cuts all that out and cost less and taste just as good.
But they seem to flatten them out and make them thinner as a result so it cooks faster and more evenly straight from frozen.
I use a Foreman grill, takes all of 10 mins total to cook.
That may be what you're talking about, but it's not what lokiju said. Re-read his post.
1) Lokiju is talking about frozen chicken breast
2) He thinks that the frozen chicken breast is great
(because)
3 + 4) Previously he had been buying fresh and freezing them till he needed them.
5) Buying frozen chicken breast tastes just as good (as 3+4) and takes less effort.
So godless is correct.
/facepalm
Yet again.
*breathes and counts to 10*

You cannot be serious. You proved me right TWICE in your ridiculous post.Originally Posted by PlasmaBomb

Tell me what 3+4 was again????
I said fresh chicken breasts will always taste better than frozen. a)lokiju said his frozen breasts from Costco taste better than the fresh ones he used to buy.
Godless wasn't correct when he quoted me, and he's still NOT correct because thawed breasts, especially those from Costco, Sam's, etc., still don't taste as good as fresh.
You can buy not-previously-frozen chicken where I live. There is more in this world than White Gem and Perdue. . .
lol, "love fast food"? Not from what I've seen. There's always a ton of whiny bitch comments ("Taco Bell makes my tummy hurt", "I'd rather eat a dog's feces than a McDonald's cheeseburger" etc) in any thread related to fast food.People on this board love fast food. You'll never win this argument. But keep in mind that I get you. I eat fresh whenever I can. On occasion, the bird in my fridge is there to COOL since it was alive the day before. . . .George Foreman? Ugh. Sad. I know.
Same here.
Although anyone raving about ANY kind of boneless, skinless chicken breast probably isn't much of an eater. We're talking about the single most boring animal protein on the planet. Popping a frozen chicken breast directly onto the foreman is basically saying, "Man, I love steamed chicken!" Come on.
Convenient, yes. Tasty? Not really, it's just a medium to deliver seasonings. Chicken can be great, but boneless and skinless, fresh or frozen is nothing but a convenience food.
No need to thaw the frozen chicken before cooking
