All it is is a diet pop with a different recipe to give it a different taste, and the throw in the 1 calorie just to differentiate it from Diet, and so they can have a catchy name for it.

So, no its not any better for you than Diet. Neither is Coke C2 and Pepsi Edge (the ones that half about half the calories/carbs as regular).

Pepsi One uses sucralose, and Diet Pepsi uses aspartame?

In that case Pepsi One is FAR better for you.

Think Pepsi 1 uses Splenda. Which to date doesn't have side effects associated with it like aspartame, etc.

Oh by no means is Splenda safe
http://www.mercola.com/2003/aug/23/splenda.htm

It's just safer than aspartame. The only really good alternatives to sugar are 5-carbon monosaccharides like Xylitol

Doh! Thats why I thought it was better for you....

Pepsi One is pretty good. The biggest problem is I've never seen any restaurants serve it.

With that said, even though it's make with aspartame, Coke Zero is the greatest diet drink ever made.

I'll take with my chances with aspartame over 150 calories worth of HFCS any day.

Every good reaction has a negitive reaction. If it has been altered to be better then the natural form then it will has some sor tof adverse reaction on your body for it wasnt natural.
In either case NEITHER is good for you. Each one has its problems. Depends on which one you feel will kill you in a way you wont have much pain :D

Interesting - do any drunks currently use Xylitol?

What do drunks have to do with Xylitol, unless you're thinking it has anything to do with EtOH because it's a 'sugar alcohol'

We ingest a lot of un-"natural" products that are perfectly fine going through our bodies. Just because something is synthetic doesn't automatically make it harmful to you. And your first sentence is extremely false.

I prefer how Pepsi One tastes compared to other diet sodas; it's my favorite.

Interesting that on the Mercola guy's website he talks crap about Splenda, a FDA approved product, but he has no problem selling his health supplements, not all of which require FDA approval.
