Does iTunes have a large selection of trance and techno, including rare live sets? If not, I don't care...

I'll stick with Direct Connect, thank you!

Pepsi hopes the promotion will connect its flagship cola, as well as Sierra Mist and Diet Pepsi, with teens who've shown more affinity for bottled water, energy drinks and the Internet.

Did this make anyone else laugh ?

It didn't make me laugh. The sentence makes no sense to me. Why not promote their water products?

they refer to the internet as though it's a drink.

Because their water products sell themselves and aren' habit forming.

hehe, that's great...I'm not a Pepsi fan myself, but I still like what they're doing with the ad. Now watch, as 1/4th of all Pepsi workers are hit with an RIAA lawsuit. ;)

The RIAA's all for that... LOL.. Pepsi's just catering to those that already hate the RIAA.

Actually, it's really just Pepsi this time. The ads are Pepsi's. Apple is just along for the ride, because they run the iTunes store. (Pepsi pays Apple for each song download.)

Does it really matter? All this ad is saying is that the RIAA won and you have to pay for your music now. Kind of a slap in the face for all the file swappers. Of course if they decide to do so is an entirely different story. O right, it's promoting itunes too, which has like jack shiat for music selections.

I really wish someone with a real audience would get it right just one time. It is not illegal todownload MP3's over the Internet. It only becomes an issue when those file are shared. You have the legal right to download anything you want within reason, ie kiddie porn is not permissible. You do not have the right to share or give your downloaded files away.

File and tape trading will never die.

Though, making is accessible to jackasses, should die.

In a year or so, they will come with a new application / service where you will be able to swap files again, and RIAA wont be able to do sh!t. Then I am gonna run through the Superbowl game field butt naked with RIAA written on my Ass.
