So, I had a wheel alignment done back in November when I had my tie rods replaced. When I got the car back I noticed a very minor pull to the right which at the time I thought I might be the roads I was driving on.
In December I had them replace my right CV axle, when I got the car back the pull was really noticeable, I called them the said it might be a tire caused pull and rotating the tires should rule that out. I rotated the tires my self, car still pulled to the right. So I took it back and had them recheck the alignement.
I was told then back the service rep that I have a negative camber and my car(99 Nissan Altima) does not support camber adjustments(what a crock) and that I would need a new strut and control arm. I did not let them do that work because I don't trust them and I didn't have the money at the time.
Last Wedness day I had my sturts checked by another repair shop when I got an oil change. Struts are good. Nothing wrong with them. And the tech said I really need an alignment
Today, I took my car back to PepBoys to have it checked again for the 3rd time, but get this, their machine was broke :|. They called the next closest store which was 13 miles away to see if they could do one, they had a backlog of 4 hours, which I was not going to wait as I was standing outside this other pepboys before they opened.
I then demanded a refund under their 100% service satisfaction guarantee. I was told by the peon at the counter that they can't give me a refund until they verify my car is out of spec. Hello? It's impossible to do that moron, your machine is broke! :|
Needless to say I'll be disputing this with my credit card company and I'm calling the District manager Monday.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, PepBoy puts a warranty on their alignments for 6 months/6,000 miles. A lot of good that does when their machines don't work.
UPDATE: Today I called the Manager and raise hell, the guy was scared, you could hear it his voice. He told me that the repair dude was going to have the machine fixed in about hour of my called. So I when I arrived an hour later, I walk in to the repair center, I didn't have to say a world because they remembered me from yesterday and said the machine wasn't fixed yet so they were just going to give me a refund. Good thing he recognized that I was upset with the situation and I was not one to frak with.
