PEP66 Question

As I was installing my new 1ghz axia I noticed the copper base of my PEP66 has a few battle scars I'll call them. Must have been the put it on take it off redo bridge battle I had with the MSI Pro2a\Duron....Got it right the first time but the board had the multiplier bug!!! iwill KK266 took care of that problem 😀

Do you think lapping would remove this? Anybody knoe how thick the copper is? Not really too deep but you can almost read it 🙁 Was kinda paranoid about reusing it but needed to test the chip 🙂 Seems to be working OK as is with Arctic Silver but temps seem a little on the high side.

Yup lapping definately will work. It should take you took long to lap it if the scratch isn't too deep. I just realized that you know the laser etched writing on top of the core, that can cause scratches on the copper heatsink if you move it around on the core. I noticed it when I took it off I lapped it to make it nice and smooth again before i put it back on.
