PEP66 OR ThermoEngine?

I have both. The Pep 66 is lapped and looks good. The Thermoengine i have to work on. Should the thermo engine give me better results? I tried it, but didnt lap it as well as I did the pep66, and it didnt cool as good as i thought it should. Maybe its just me 😉

 
I ran the thermo engine last night. The temps I was getting were extremely higher than the pep66. Usually with pep66 full load i wonder around 48-53c. With the thermoengine I was seeing temps from 52-60. One time i seen the temp jump up to 72...I then shutdown and swapped the hs back.

What a waste of money!!!

I have the same fan on both coolers. The thermo looks neat as hell...Might throw it on my daughters celery. She's complaining about the noise from the G-orb i got on it now 😱
 
hmmm you may want to look at the mounting..what is the cpu you are using.
if you tried to lap the thermoengine you may have rounded it.

i would consider checking that...the pep66 is a better cooler anyway.
