I still see everyone's old nicknames on MSN's tab on Trillian even though they're updated. Anyone know if there's an option or something that will let the nicknames update?

Well. I changed from Trillian to Gaim and thought it sucked, so I went back to Trillian but then back to Gaim and here I am.

gaim doesn't suck. in fact, gaim is coded ten times better than trillian. it takes no time loading while trillian takes forever. everytime i post a message with trillian there's a space either before my message or after my message (it switches) when i send a message. its very annoying. plus when i receive a message sometimes it takes at least 5 seconds to load the window. lastly, trillian is very bloated. when highlighting buddies or scrolling down, you can see the lag. i'm running a pretty fast system too.

however, i'm running trillian. :p

I'm using both. I have AIM running on gaim, and MSN, Yahoo, and ICQ running on Trillian... just because I've been having some weird issues with contacts appearing and disappearing in gaim, when I add all of my accounts to it.

I seldom use Trillian now, since most of my IM activity is over AIM... I'm happy. Gaim is definitely faster, though I do miss a few of the features that Trillian has (and the fact that direct connection does not work *period* in Gaim annoys me to no end).

i know the manual and painful way
right click > show email, then right click > show nickname.
i think there's easier way, but since i'm no longer using trillian, i have no clue how to. -(

btw, anyone noticed how the OP is asking for how to update nickname using trillian (or something like that), not how to update the chat program? ,p

(yeah yeah, i'm bitter at work >( ..... )
