...ok so basically I had a $24 dollar a month plan with a year contract. My contract was up and when I checked my last bill, it was $50 dollars a month! Is it possible to call Yahoo and tell them to put you back on another year contract and lower the price back down to $24?

When my contract was up they told me the same thing about 50 dollars a month. I waited 2 weeks and they sent me another offer for a lot less. I never did have to call them.

I called before my contract was up (when it was about to expire) and they lowered it to the $15 they advertise on tv... Or I could have gotten the "double plan" (3 megs down) for $24.95.

YES. IT IS POSSIBLE. JUST CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP OR THREATEN TO. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET THE $15 rate as long as you sign up for a 12mo contract.

yep, if they try to deny you, just say the magic words. "i think i'll just cancel it"
they'll put you on hold for a second, then tell you that since your such a valued customer... blah blah blah... New contract!

Yes, they should with no threats needed. You can get the $24 or $15 plan if you sign a yearly contract. The $50 is the month to month price.

Thanks guys. Is the double plan the Pro plan that has 3megs down? I think I'm only at 1.5meg down right now and I was paying 24.95 a month. But that was the deal over a year ago. I wouldn't mind doubling my speed for the same price.

Ya I have never been that far since I always rerate as soon as a better offer comes along. However it should be no problem
to get them to give you the better rate AND a credit on your current bill, if you tell them what they are going to do lol.
