How and where do you install the capacitor? My car does this when I'm really cranking it.

How much power are you pushing? The "general" rule is for every 750w, you'll get a 1 farad cap. If you have multiple amps, you'd hook up the cap after the distribution block. Power will go directly to one amp and then the power will go directly from the other lead on the dist. block to the cap, which in turn leads to the amp.

First off, a cap WILL NOT solve your problem. Your electrical system is weak, I suggest replacing your battery with a good deep cycle marine battery from Interstate, or a Optima Yellowtop. Look into aftermarket alternators if the problem persists, as this will definitely solve your problem. Cap should be the last thing you want to add. Also, you might want to do some reading on the Big 3 on some caraudio forums.

Vic, what is a single point ground mod?
It generally strengthens the electrical system and smooths out voltage irregularities, plus is more safe than the single ground that most cars come with.
