People with Road Runner Internet or any other internet service question

My Road Runner service allows the user to get extra IP address at $5 each per month.

Does that mean..

for example.

my prmiary connection is 5mb/384k

Would the 2nd connection have it's own 5mb/384k ?

or would these to be sharing a single 5mb/384k connection ?

you still have the same connection, but you now have a static IP address and a DHCP pool address.

Most home ISP's won't allow you to run a server if that is what you have in mind with a static IP address.

jmho, i'd get a router. it would pay for itself in less than a year.
