me and the wife stopped by a fast food joint to grab a bite to eat...while we were eating, the people at the two tables in front us (these were two separate groups BTW) just got up and left all of their sh!t on the table when they were done eating...napkins, plates, trays, etc...

I guess you can take the person out of the trailer park but you can't...

but I guess they pay people to clean up the mess...a$$hats...

/end of rant...

Yeh. that crap drives me as nuts as the white trash on cell phones in restaurants, theaters and lines at the grocery store.

It's not just trailer trash that does this stuff.

I was at a fast-food restaurant one time and there was an upper class family there (obviously on vacation grabbing a quick bite to eat). Their teenage kids were out and out obnoxious having a ketckup pack fight. When they went to leave, their 6-year old daugher grabbed her tray to take it to the trash when the mother scolder her and said "You don't do that. Leave it on the table... that's what they pay the people who work here for".

One time when I was working at Disneyland fastfood resturant, I was refilling the napkins. A couple finish thier food, and the wife said "Are we going to clear the table". The husbund "nah, we don't want to take away these people's jobs and then they have to go on welfare.". The guy just smirked and stared at me. I just shrugged.

No they were not from the trailer park, etc. Just an ordinary local couple from S. Cali.

I agree that it's lazy not to pick up after yourself, but...I guess they figure they don't work there, let the employees do it...Really doesn't bother me when they do it...I don't have to clean up after them.

Shens, they were upper-middle at most. It's a fast food joint.

I've always thought the word " classy" was tacky.

Yeh! It's not like Harrison Ford has ever been spotted in McDonalds. oh wait.. Maybe the president has never eaten fast food.. hmmmm.

its on the way out the door, how hard is it to just throw away your food and put the tray away.

but then again, this comes from a guy who stacks the plates and utensils at a restaurant when our party is done with the meal. old habit from working food service i guess.

I dunno, I've never worked a job in fast food (or any food service job) but the way I look at it is: Someone's going to have to clean it up, and it isn't an inconvenience for me, so why don't I just drop it off at the garbage on my way out.

I don't disagree...I generally deal with my own trash as well, but, I do know people who believe that they aren't employees of the place, let the employees clean it up...
Like I said, it's just lazy IMO...

Money isn't what makes you "upper-class"...when you see a Vanderbilt in a McDonald's, THEN you can tell me I'm wrong.

the vanderbilt clan has been pretty much dispersed and most of them are normal people now I think the last time there was a reunion only maybe 2 of the entire family were millionaires. Their family fortune was squandered a long time ago.

I don't want to think of it in terms of being classy or not, but I just simply think it is the appropriate thing to do.

i work at a fastfood joint in southeast los angeles, and i've seen a lot worse. just today, i was in the bathroom and some lady couldn't wait for me to finish up. i came out a minute later and she had told her son to start urinating on the floor with people all around.

So Cornelius Vanderbilt himself wasn't "upper-class" then? LOL
