people who use noise cancelling headphones.. do you get a headache/dizzy/light headed when you turn on the Noise cancel

I bought a SONY noise cancelling headphones ( MDR NC - 6 )

So yeah when i turn it on i feel dizzy, not sure why. I bought it so i can use it on the plane.
Also on international flights, do they all IPODs to be used? Even though i am flying Singapore which has the behind seat entertainment system i want to be able to use the Ipod when bored with on board entertainment.

Do they allow it? Also does one know the duty free alcoholic limit?

AFAIK in the U.S., electronic devices (mp3 players, laptops, etc, but not cell phones and pagers) can be used when the plane is parked at the gate and when it is above 10,000'.

outside of landing and take off its allowable to use personal electronic devices

noise cancelling sucks... you know how they work, right? just get isolation earphones...better SQ

Yes, you can take pretty much any electronic entertainment device on international flights. No, I don't get dizzy, because my $25 Sennheisers use padding and design to eliminate sound, not a added frequency.

how old are you?

it uses high frequency, so if you're younger or your ears are better, you'll hear the high pitched whine.

I am 27 and yes i hear the high pitched whine, but i understand that is if you are in a quiet environment its more audible.. if you are on a plane it cancels it out.

Lets hope it works.. this is my first pair. I will tell you that my old TDK over the ear enclosed one required the darn ipod to be turned up all the way on a southwest flight just so i could hear things. Mind you those tdk's are hella loud.. you can use them as speakers when you turn the IPOD up all the way.
