Starting Wed I am going back to cable. Telociity DSL has been the worst expereince of my online life, and I'm through with it. One problem with Cable, I will have a dynamic IP again. I'll try and hold the IP as long as possible, but that's not always a guarantee. So please make sure you have your clients pointed to the rr address or jator.2y.net address. Sorry for the inconvience.

To make it up to everyone, I will be running a UT server again for those of you who want an alternative to the gamebox. 😉

i get e-mail about it everyday; fix roadrunner or im going to dsl...

then they switch to dsl.

but they always come running back.

welcome back. 🙂

I never had a complaint about Road Runner other than the Dynamic IP that I get. Other than that, it's great!!!!

OK, I'm back on cable. I'll try and get the UT Server up tonight.

Well, DSL is not an option for me.

Option 1- Extra phone line and a 56K dial up.
Option 2- @Home cable for a few bucks a month more than option 1.

Hmmmm, decisions, decisions....🙂

What was the root of the problem Jay? The ISP, the DSL, or what?

Viz,

That's one reason I left Telocity. We never pinned the problem down. Actually, I take it back. The reason I left is that they hardly did anything to solve the problem. Wait times with tech support were sometimes as high as 45 minutes, and they would tell me they would do something and I would call back the next week and have to start from scratch. Also, every time I called, they closed my 'previous' ticket number, and open a new one so it would look like a new problem, not the same exact one I had been having since the day I signed up with them!!!!!
