I really wish I didn't read that first article ...
I didn't read the second though, and won't.
Anybody who can torture a helpless animal has serious issues.
The part about the screaming baby really hit home for me.
Years back when I was a kid I came home from w/my mom and when we got into our house we heard what sounded like a child screaming "help help" and were like what the hell is this? I walked into the kitchen and our cat was hanging by his collar choking on a kitchen cabinet knob. I immediately got her off of there and held her in my arms as she gasped for air. After like 10 minutes or so she seemed to be fine but she was very tired and lethargic.
We have no clue how long she was hanging on the knob. But it seems like she was just walking on the counter and jumped off and got caught on this knob. But the sounds she made when we walked in was a sound I never even thought a cat could even make and it literally sounded like a child screaming help.
edit:
and for all the idiots who bring up the human/animal comparison, you are an idiot. just because one doesn't enjoy seeing animals tortured doesn't mean they enjoy seeing humans tortured. the comparison between the 2 is so unnecessary.
