Eh, it was a picket line. Any actions I had taken would have put me in jail in short order.
What the f%$# were they picketing, tire sales? You should have grabbed him and pressed charges.

They were on strike. I needed money. Me and the company made a deal. They'd pay me money and I'd work there. 🙂

SCAB!!!!! 😉

Already heard it, and worse 😛

Hey, mans gotta eat. If they dont want to work... Well, my bills dont care where the money comes from. My little girl only knew she either had food to eat or not. If feeding my family and paying my bills means I have to stand on a roof slammin nails in 110 degree heat, well gimme some water. If it means I have to shovel the horse shyte out of the stals at the tracks, gimme a shovel. And if it means I gotta be a scab worker, well, so be it. I'm not to proud to work.

I want to put a nail dispenser under my back bumper ... Spy-Hunter like . Woulda used it yesterday on the asshat that was road-raging on me for blowing my horn at him when he cut me off. I figure 3/4" or 1" roofing nails would probably work well.
Caltrops work better. 😉

mmm caltrops

Oops, fixed.
Wish the damn link dialog wouldn't come with the 'http' already in there. Just have to delete it when doing the cut-n-paste

I agree with you. F*ck unions.

sorry didnt mean to hijack the OP's thread.

I've run over at least 3 nails with my tires on 17" rims, never had to patch or replace the tire. Guess I'm lucky its not the long ass nails that I've hit.

Is the word 'scab' used in US as well? I was under impression it's a UK thing.
BTW, I agree with what you said.

it could have been an acedent, but yes people that put them there suck

shoudl have gotten thoes run flats

I had 16" Michelins, that came stock with the car. I'm glad now I didn't go for 17", as replacing them would've been a PITA. Well, actually I almost did but the dealer didn't have them in stock so I decided to stick with 16s. Best decission ever 🙂

Btw, this isn't the first time this happened to me. Happened a few years back with my old car. I think somebody doesn't like me. Wonder why 😛
You don't have to replace them... you can plug them at any gas station for like $7.

<-- has too much experience with that... :|

Not if the hole is on the sidewall.
You said "put them there" ... assumed to be on the ground... so how does it end up on the sidewall ?? 😕

It's right on the edge of the tire. Close enough to the sidewall to make me uncomfortable driving 80 mph after fixing it.

eh nails nothing. i once got a huge construction type bolt stuck in the tire. hexagonal screw top... probably 3/4" at the wrench end. my tire deflated so fast i could barely get off the offramp before it was al gone😛
