People who take Ads a little too seriously.

I wish I had a link or picture to this, but I'll give you the juicy details instead. Some guy in our area saw an Ad for a sports car (I think it was one of the Mazda line.) that supposidly claimed that the car was capable of going into orbit or to warp speed or something. Anyways, he tried and tried to launch the car into orbit to no avail. Well, being as brilliant as he was he took his brand new car and drove it off a 30ft cliff. *Crunch!* Instant Darwin Winner. 🙂

Anybody else seen any situations where people take TV ads a little too seriously??

hehe. Nobody has anything to add to this? I take it that you have never heard of anybody who actually took an Ad too seriously? 🙂

a person who has enough money to buy that car actually drove it off a cliff because he thought it could go into ORBIT?

that is impossible..... 😕

That guy actually had a valid lawsuit, though he did lose it in the end. The judge claimed no one could "reasonably" expect to get the jet.

Basically, he figured out it was cheaper to buy all the Pepsi than to actually buy a jet... so he got a few guys to invest with him (like an investment company) and they bought pallets of Pepsi.
