The issues is herd immunity which protects those that cannot be vaccinated (too young/too old/immunosupressed/etc.). So they can be hurting people other than their own children.

I was going to post a parody entitled: "People who skip vacations are incredibly shellfish" and then post a pic of a hermit crab alone on a deserted island paradise beach resort. But I know how parodies are frowned upon due to a lack of senses of humor and also because I couldn't find a deserted island pic with a beach resort due to complexities with paradoxes which have nothing to due with parottys except that there may or may not be parrots in an uninhabited space on a desserted island that serves cupcakes to it's invisible, yet very real to me inhabitants. Don't judge! It's my religion to believe in invisible people and that makes it all right when it usually wouldn't be so in most other any other circumcision stance.

People think correlation = causation. Science reporting is pretty mediocre in many mainstream publications as well, further compounding the problem. Then with the spread of the internet, people can set up niche websites to echo their beliefs and spread their ignorance throughout the globe.
The rise in autism diagnosis is correlated with organic food sales as well. Maybe organic foods cause autism!

I think the spike in Autism rates probably has more to do with the DSM broadening the definition over the last few decades. A lot of borderline spectrum disorders (like Aspergers) are included now when they weren't before.
The whole vaccines cause autism thing came about from a fraudulent study that the author even admitted was fraudulent. Just shows the scary power celebrity has in our society. Bimbos like Jenny McCarthy (who's only claim to fame is showing off her tits) shouldn't be a trusted medical source. Just shows that our society is actually getting dumber.

It does not get much stupider than the case in canada where this aboriginal family discontinued chemotherapy of a 75% curable cancer of their 11 years old daughter. Instead they took her down the states at a cost of $18K to a holistic massage center.
She is dead.
Today the same family blames chemo on her death.

Meh, not the same thing at all. Avoiding chemo impacts one family. Avoiding vaccination has the potential to impact everyone around you. I agree they are idiots of course, but it's a different issue.
Sure morons like texashiker will say it's a person's choice whether to get vaccinated or not, but I would argue that you are actually harming society by not doing it. It's like not paying your taxes except people can actually die from it.

I don't blame people for avoiding the questionable ones.
I still highly question the process of bombarding a newborn's underdeveloped immune system with a bunch of vaccines all at once however like they tend to do. If you're going to vaccinate babies, stretch it out a bit. Getting hit with that many things at once has got to be a strain in their little bodies.
