People who own the BenQ G2400W

I've quickly learned the only way to find out if a monitor offers it's own scaling options for images is to ask people who already own one.

I play lots of older games that simply DO NOT support widescreens. I've had enough bad experiences with drivers not offering either a 4:3 stretch option or a 1:1 pixel mapping option (I'm not that picky with my older games, aspect ratio scaling doesn't bother me, I generally prefer it).

Does this monitor offer any built in scaling, and if so, what options?

I don't own it but I do know the G2400W features all three options (fill, 4:3, 1:1) from reading on HardForum. I'm unsure of the quality and resolutions supported (a monitor's DSP can not necessarily except any resolution you give it).

Do you use a PS3 or Xbox for gaming? PC? Component (console) inputs may have different levels of success in scaling than others.

I have a 360, but it's not touching the monitor, it's for my computer.

360 doesn't need HD anyway, all it does is upscale from 720p anyway, and those TVs aren't worth the money.

Yeah, basically I want it to support 640x480 (tons of old games), 800x600 (few older-but-not-as-old-as-Starcraft games), and 1600x1200 (everything that doesn't support widescreen but supports higher resolutions). without screwing with the 4:3 aspect ratio. 1024x768 would be nice too, but I only have like one game that needs that, and I haven't played Heroes 4 in a long, long time.

Went through the 40+ reviews on newegg and many of them complain about a lack of scaling o_O

I really need to know: does this monitor support 4:3 scaling (either via 1:1 mapping, or preferably 4:3 aspect ratio scaling) over DVI?
