Don't live in Cali, but 35% tint shouldn't get you in trouble I'd think. Here in NY, anyone I know that's gotten ticketed has 20% tint. I have 35% and no cop has given me flak about it yet. (knocks on wood)

i have 35% and i've gotten pulled over once in the nearly 2 years i've had it and got a fix it ticket

if you're in socal and you get a fix it ticket, i recommend getting it checked off at cerritos station... they dont even check it :D they just stamp it and send you on your way

35% is actually darker than 50%

get vkool if you can afford it... its 70% (very close to legal), looks like clear, but very good at keeping the heat out

Actually, I asked a CHP officer as I was thinking of getting mine tinted. You can go as dark as you want on the back window and rear side windows. And as far as the front goes...anyting besides clear you could get a ticket for, but it probably wont happen. Pretty much if you can still see inside the car (not see through the car, but see inside) at the time of day in which it is the darkest, it should be ok.

Move to Nevada. IIRC they don't have a restriction on tinting ratios there. That'd be cool.
