People Who Have Taken Off the Golden Orb...Please Help!!!

Did a search and didn't see anything on this...

Just bought an Alpha PAL6035 for my T-bird. Currently I have an Golden Orb for SocketA on it. I need to take it off but don't know what's the best way to do it...

People who have done it before...please help! The thing is so tightly attached on there! What kind of tools did you use? And what should I be careful about so I don't break the CPU and my Asus A7V board?

p.s. Also, any advice on how to attach the Alpha PAL6035 (with revised clip) onto the T-bird?

Hmmm... that's odd, the other day I just took it off with my bare fingers... Was the silicon compound suppose to be an adhesive too?

No its not adhesive, the clip is normally so tight that you need pliers. Was it a Socket A GORB you took off or Socket 370 ??
