For anyone who has received crucial 128mb pc2100 ddr memory for the $60.xx, have you tested it out yet? Can you verify that it is truely pc2100? Thanks in advance for your help. Mine is suppose to arrive towmorrow, I just want to make sure I'm not royally screwed buying $2000 worth of computer parts and then not having good quality memory to work alongside it.

jaybert, I just spoke to a crucial tech person. It is PC2100 that you are getting. He said that although it is not "engineering samples" it is not what they will eventually be selling in 30-60 days. The "final" product that they will sell will be based on 128 size chips and not the 64 on the ones that have just been shipped. He said that the ones that have shipped are fine though. So, you shouldnt' have any problem with it. The PC1600 ones that are listed are the final ones but are only pc1600. I'm still going to try to get some of the PC2100 that they did ship.

Lol, so these really arent just the memory chips and I dont have to solder them onto my motherboard!??!? I'm relieved! (joke) :) Should there be any performance difference between 64 size and the 128 size chips, performance wise that is.
