People who eBay their Hot Deals

the only thing i dont like about it, is when you legitimately want one of the hotdeals to actually use they are already gone since the hotdealers took them all.

but whatever. it makes it cheaper to buy things on ebay. not as cheap as the hotdeal would have been, but takes a lot of hassle out of it. i've resold a few hotdeals that i bought and thought i'd keep. it makes it an easier decision, you just figure... not sure if i really need it, but hell can ebay it if i dont want it.

like no one is forcing a store to sell it cheap, and no one is forcing ebay'ers to buy it.

i do think that when people argue with managers and go way past reasonable to force a hot deal that that is just out of control. you just make all customers look like slime. i mean if its reasonable you arent a total ass.

I'm pretty good with money managment, I trust myself.

I agree with the others, stay away from plastic.

However once you have $500 cash you can tuck away in your savings account for 1 year, I can guarantee you that you'll be approved for a $500 cc. So after you have $500 saved up, send me a PM.

credit cards are awesome,
people are only afraid because their money managment blows...

ive had a cc since i was 16 and never had a problem,
right now i have 2 cards in my name, one has 1200 and the other 2500 dollar limit

the key is not remeber not to spend more than you have / can afford. If you do that you're fine.

I always go there once daily anyway 🙂. Try to limit my time there, otherwise the monthly CC bill is too high 🙂.

It's always interesting to watch HD and Ebay's trends together. Back when I was in HS, amazon.com had a KILLER deal on 128mb sodimms, like $75 each (which at the time was ~50% what it was worth). This was when you could still order out of stock items and they'd sell them to you when they got more stock.

After they started shipping, ebay was flooded with them, the average selling price went from $130/stick to like $110 at best. I held onto them for a few months and sold them after there weren't as many auctions. I think they went for $125/each.

I hadn't intended on ebaying them both, my laptop at the time had a 104mb memory limit I wasn't aware of, I was going to keep one myself and ebay the other. Found out my laptop wouldn't take it, so I sold the spare stick.

-MC

I have always visited the Hot Deals forum at least 3 times a day since 1998.

The only time I didn't visit were 2 weeks in August 2001 while I was in Australia getting hitched.
